Bristol Central’s three distinct swimming sections are:

  • The Competitive Speed Section, including the 'learn to swim' and development programmes, is also responsible for the club's overall fitness level.
  • Synchronised Swimming Section, a very specialised area of swimming requiring strength, body awareness and terrific lung control.
  • Water Polo. Unlike the first of our two specialisms, Water Polo is very much a team game, Bristol Central having very thriving Men's, Women's and Junior teams competing at all levels.

With a limited amount of water time available to each of these sections, it is imperative that all club sessions, irrespective of discipline, are conducted in an effective and efficient manner. Bristol Central Swimming Club is dedicated to the competitive side of swimming, to that end all club sessions are geared to one or all of the three specialisms.

Competitive Swimming and club membership usually start at an early age, the younger the better, Competition for all ages and skill level is provided throughout the competitive year. Additional information can be obtained elsewhere on this site or email info@bristolcentralsc.co.uk
